Consumer Spending Hits All Time High
In spite of the "great recession" consumer spending is hitting new highs. But you won't hear that reported very often. Somebody seems to want to keep us thinking that the economy is terrible.
on another note, the steady climb in this chart is not sustainable the fact that there was a decline this time is an indication that we are reaching the limit we need to learn to live happily in an economy that grows very slowly or not at all having two or three times more stuff doesn't seem to have made us happier
Looks like I need to put up some biographical info and credentials.
I am a graduate of UC Berkeley. I also went to law school for one year and then dropped out. What lawyers deal with (disputes and the potential for disputes) was not my cup of tea.
I also went on to get a California Real Estate Broker's license. My livelihood for many years has been operating and managing apartments on the west side of Los Angeles.
